About

Jim Harwood

Since starting my career as a physical therapist in 1994, my journey in manual therapy has been profoundly shaped by the comprehensive training I later received at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. I operate from the core belief that everyone possesses an innate ability to heal, and my approach is dedicated to re-establishing this fundamental capacity within each client.

This extensive experience and training has allowed a methodology that is tolerated by clients of all ages; from the infant who is having eating difficulties, or dealing with the effects of torticollis to the teenager who has a lot of stress dealing with school, to the adult dealing with back pain, neck pain, or headaches as well as the woman in her 8th month of pregnancy dealing with sciatica symptoms.

The sessions are tailored to the individual and  offer an opportunity for balancing of the nervous system which allows for improved health and wellness.  My gentle, inviting style puts clients at ease and allows for maximal possible outcomes with the understanding once treated and supported the person’s own ability to heal is at its best.

When I step away from the treatment table, I focus on the routines that keep me physically and mentally grounded—spending time with my family, setting intentions each morning, and carving out space for daily meditation. I stay active by hitting the gym regularly and jumping into pick-up basketball games at my local YMCA, which keeps me energized and connected to my community. Whether I’m unwinding outdoors or dedicating time to restorative practices, these pursuits help me maintain the clarity and vitality I strive to bring into my work.
